Is this possible?

I recently learned about the Columbia school of general studies and got some basic info on it but i need to know some more. I am a senior in high school and suffered from depression and bad family problems in my earlier years of high school really skewing my grades and such. It says that the school accepts unlikely students or something like that. So even though I didn't actually miss any school from it, would I qualify to apply there?

The program is for people who’ve taken at least 1 year off their academic career. It’s geared towards non-traditional students. That is usually defined as someone who left college to work, and now wants to go back - or a professional musician who’s successful career hasn’t made up for their regret of leaving college.
