Is this reasonable to ask?

Say a college says on its website it sends out admission decisions by some date. However, if a student might have something important happen to him around that date that can have a MAJOR, significant boost to his admission chance, can he request the college to delay reviewing his application for a few days so that the new happening can be take into account?

I mean, do colleges "have" to send out all admission notifications by some fixed date? A few extra days can't hurt right?

Please advise.

Thanks

come on, someone tell me something. thanks

I was wondering that too because I had some things happen to me that would boost my application but I cant put it on now.

I would strongly advise against asking. Unless the award is of international importance, one little award won't tip your chances.
