To take the November tests on Spanish and US History with studying starting now. I have Spanish AP so that should help but US I only have Gov AP and never took US AP. I am going to get books probably tonight or sometime soon.

Oh and I want to score 750+ on each (btw I am taking 5 ap courses at school)

For Spanish, it depends on your ability to speak Spanish, so if you are sure about it, go ahead and take it. But if you have never taken AP US History, then probably it is not a good idea to take SAT II US History after only 1 month of preparation.

You don’t think reading a chapter or so enough would do the trick?

i think it’s reasonable. i studied the week before the test.

i’ll let you know october 25th when i get the results. i’m a fast memorizer but i memorized the wrong things… the questions. memorize the chapters because knowing 200 practice questions doesn’t really help on the test.

I think you really had to have 1) Taken AP US 2) Began self studying on your own at the beginning of the summer to do well on the SAT II. The SAT II in my opinion was no easier then the AP multiple choice exam. Some questions on there were just random and unanswerable unless one had a strong understanding of the themes, and context of the time period of the question. That sort of thing can’t be covered in a month with a Kaplan book. Straight facts won’t help on alot of the questions.

If you aren’t shooting for a score say 720+ you can still take it with 1 month self study.
