hi,
i am international student who is applying for next fall as a prospective junior. My SAT (not SSAT) is 1780 (580 CR, 670 Math, 520 WR). Is this good enough for schools like Middlesex, Cate, or Concord Academy?

Go to each school’s website and look for the school profile, usually found on the college counseling page. This will give you the SAT scores of the most recent senior class. You can then see how far away you are from the average. Note, however, that they would expect your scores to be lower since you are a current junior rather than a senior. Still, it’s a good starting place. Here is Concord’s: http://www.concordacademy.org/data/files/gallery/ContentGallery/1314CCOProfileforWeb.pdf

It actually gives you the end of junior year scores. It looks like you’re good for math, but low for the other two.

Keep in mind that other factors are often more important than test scores. At Concord, your transcript and recommendations are given more weight. Also, 11th grade admission is often highly competitive because of the few number of openings. For example, last year Concord had 49 applications for two 11th grade spots.

Your chances would be greatly enhanced by applying as a repeat sophomore.

There are few spots for new juniors. And as an int’l applicant, your nationality has a major impact on your chances.
