This is a total of 14 units. I am not sure what the minimum units is required for financial aid...I will look for it on the website. Can I and do I need to add a class?

I am an incoming 21 year old transfer student planning to major in Neuroscience Behavioral Biology with hopes of going to medical school after I graduate. I most likely will not work for the fall semester...but want to be involved in the school. I'm not into the party scene or anything like that. My previous school was a community college where I average 18-20credits per semester...I just want to really make sure this is manageable and make this transition smooth.

This last couple weeks I have been studying some organic chem and bio...

Thanks

The minimum required by Emory is 12 credit hours, but most students will take 16 and some may take as much as 22. I would say you schedule is certainly manageable and standard for an Emory student, and you could probably add a 4th class to get some more electives or pre-med requisites out of the way.

I think it’s pretty smart to only take 14 hours your first semester, especially if you’re taking chem and orgo together. If things go well, you can take another class in the spring. good luck.
