Hello all! I would love your opinion on my junior and tenative senior schedule.

Junior:
AP Lang
AP Bio
AP USH
Pre-AP Chem
Honors Precal
Choir
Honors French III
Biomedical Science (I go to a technical school and this a class offered through PLTW)

Senior:
AP Chem
AP French
AP Calc
AP Lit
Choir
Gym/Pe
AP Physics
Maybe an AP social studies or AP Physch

I forgot to mention I am self studying AP environmental this year!

The schedule looks good. For what reason are you self-studying AP Environmental Science?

@skieurope I heard it meshes well with AP biology and I would like to show I have drive outside the classroom with also getting to learn something I’m passionate about. I understand it’s seen as a “soft” AP but I do think I’d enjoy the content.

It’s OK if you are doing it for you. Don’t do it to show colleges anything; it won’t impress them.

@skieurope does self studying not impress in general or this specific AP?

In general. You’ll get a slight boost if you do well on the exam, but AP scores carry very little weight in admissions.

Taking Biomedical Science but not AP chem in the same year. What ?

@long2181998 it’s a technical school so you take that class and two core subjects. One of those has to be pre-ap chem and honors pre-cal. I was scheduled to take AP stats but they wouldn’t let me and 20 others
