Is this schedule rigorous enough?

I plan on applying to top 30 colleges and I plan on majoring in Chemical Engineering. I’m going into my junior year and I plan on taking:

AP Calculus AB
AP US History
AP Computer Science Principles
English 3 Honors
Spanish 4
Physics Honors
Anatomy and Physiology Honors

Do you think this schedule is rigorous enough for these schools?

By the way, I do plan on taking AP Chemistry senior year if you’re wondering.

Looks good to me.

What are you planning to take senior year?

@momofsenior1 For senior year I plan on taking:
AP Chem
AP Calc BC
AP Computer Science A
AP Psychology
World History Honors
English 4 Honors
Dual Enrollment Spanish (maybe, depending on how Spanish 4 goes)

Take AP Physics instead of AP psych senior year. It will help you greatly in college. (My D just finished her first year of college and is a chem e).

DE Spanish is a good idea too!

Your schedule looks pretty good to me!

Not sure I would recommend AP Chemistry AND AP Physics in senior year. That would be a heavy load on top of college applications. Definitely take one or the other.

So you think only taking 3 APs junior year is alright? I feel like taking anatomy and physiology honors and physics honors would look bad as opposed to taking an AP science. The only reason I want to take these is to see if these subjects interest me, but I feel like colleges will think I’m lacking in rigor. Do you think colleges will think this?

Personally, I think 3 APs are just fine. And definitely only 1 AP science. AP Physics is tough. My crazy daughter took 4 APs and then 4 again senior year, and it’s been a rough ride, especially with complex college application supplemental essays. I think admissions officers will see the rigor in your program. Good luck!

I agree, don’t take 2 AP sciences at once.
