Hi, I'm going to be a 2nd year student at Berkeley this fall, and I'm having a stressful time figuring out my classes. I was wondering if anybody has any advice/comments based on this schedule:

Chem 112A
ChemE 140
Physics 7B
E45

I have to take Chem, ChemE and Physics this semester, but E45 can be taken at any time in the next 2 years basically. The only reason why I'm thinking about taking it now is that Gronsky is teaching it and he's supposed to be amazing. But I'm just thinking this schedule would be way too much work, and I don't want another schedule like last semester (Chem 4B, Physics 7A, Math 54, E7).

Thanks!

Of course it is anything but easy, but it’s not like ChemE has a choice. Everybody in CoC knows Chem 112A and ChemE 140 and Physics 7B MUST be taken this semester.

But yeah, not only Gronsky is amazing, but he gives really generous grades, so you are definitely suffering less than other CoC people who still have yet to take Math 53 or 54.

Don’t have too much fun with those daily 8 am lectures and 5-hour lab. :P

Oooh sounds good, I’ll definitely try to waitlist 45 for next semester.
Yeah I would hate to have to take math next semester, that’s why I’m finishing up with 53 this summer :/

Ehhhh 8am…5 hours labs…ehhhhhhhhh
