is this schedule too rigorous

Junior year
Ap bio
Ap chem
Ap anatomy and physiology
Pre calc
Physics b
English 3 maybe ap or honors
Ap ush , or human geo, or honors ush

Want to become doctor love math and science?

And my ec’s are key club, tennis, science Olympiad , and model un

There’s an AP Anatomy and Physiology??? I’m fairly certain that doesn’t exist, though as I also want to be a doctor, I wish it did! :)

haha yeah it will be offered to us next year

I’ve seen a lot of people say their school has AP Anatomy and Physiology but it’s not on the collegeboard website and I haven’t heard of them adding it as a new course. Could you elaborate on what it is, because if such a course exists I want to take it soooooo badly. I don’t think that schedule is too rigorous, but of course it depends on the type of student you are. Are you able to have hours and hours of homework a night and survive on little sleep during the week? I’m not saying this is necessarily what will happen to you, but it’s a likelihood. I’m a Junior and I took 6 APs/1 AICE, so it’s doable, but then again it also depends on your school and how they structure their classes. Also, Science Olympiad :D!!! What state are you in?

I’m a freshman right now this my 4 year plan I’m plan on joining S.O next year super excited and I’m from texas

Ah, I remember those days…I planned out my schedule for all four years of high school and summers and whatnot. Of course, it hasn’t gone exactly as planned but it’s been an amazing journey nevertheless. Keep an open mind. Get involved early in something you love to do and will not mind doing for all four years.
But also, have fun your first two years. Junior year will be your most difficult so you don’t want to burn yourself out in freshman and sophomore year when the work is still relatively light and non-lifeconsuming.
As for Science Olympiad, definitely do it. Absolutely hands down the best high school experience I have had so far. Of course, I have an amazing coach and team, so it depends on how dedicated everyone else is as well.

It seems you have way too many sciences. Colleges like to see well rounded students. Try taking an art?

“Colleges like to see well rounded students.”

Apparently the new idea is that they want a well-rounded class, not a bunch of well-rounded individuals.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your schedule if you’ll be meeting your graduation requirements and everything. You should have a foreign language, though…some colleges require 3/4 years of it.

I took 3 years of spanish so I could be on the distinguished list
Will this workload be too much. Will it look good on application?
Any info on how to raise GPA and class information will be much much APPRECIATED
thanks

I don’t see why he should take an art class if he doesn’t like art. If he loves science and is passionate about it, then isn’t it better to take what he likes rather than do something to appeal to the adcoms? However, I would spread your science classes out more across the 4 years instead of concentrating them all in JR year

I’m taking ap art history sophmore year and senior year I’m taking physics c
And MS4211 ill see if I can get info about the class from school and tell you cause Idk a lot about it right now again thanks everyone

No, there is no official AP Anatomy and Physiology. The school most likely slapped that name on the front to indicate the course rigor.

OP, what’s the rush? Can you space it out better?

He should definitely takes what he likes, but he should never fully consume his schedule with similar subjects because this closes many doors. You always want to have options in life.

Also art doesn’t have to be painting a picture. You could take photography, guitar, vocal music, drama, band, cooking, sewing, etc.

I’m trying to only take honors and ap classes tennis is after school

Here’s my suggested schedule:

AP Biology
AP Anatomy and Physiology
Honors Precalc
AP Physics B
AP English Language
Honors US History
AP Chemistry

OR

AP Chemistry
AP anatomy and physiology
Honors Precalc
AP Physics B
Honors English III
AP US History
AP Biology

thanx ill try dat schedule
