is this school up to par with others (academics-wise)?

<p>I mean, I know RISD has a GPA average of about 3.0, which is not bad at all, and the middle 50% SAT range is also above average. I am planning to apply for fashion design this fall, and these 2 schools (RISD and Parsons) are my top choices. RISD even has a dual-degree program w/ Brown which is amazing (of course, it's Ivy-League). With my stats, it will be a very high reach but Im still applying (you never know). I want to do fashion but also be in a intellectually challenging atmosphere.</p>

<p>My question is: Is the Parsons/Eugene Lang BA/BFA going to be less rigorous than other liberal arts college, and RISD for that matter?</p>

<p>bluestar34 - I can’t talk to RISD but my D is a dual degree Parsons (fashion) and Eugene Lang (Culture & Media), and she loves it. She transferred in from a rigorous liberal arts college and is still enjoying the challenges.</p>
