<p>okay, so i'll admit that i applied to the ivies and whatnot. i applied to gwu somewhat on a whim with little to moderate interest.</p>
<p>well, i visited dc a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with the city. i honestly felt like i "belonged" and am highly considering gwu now. i think it's really close to the top of my list (almost bumping off some of the ivies...) </p>
<p>so, what about everyone else? :)</p>

<p>ahh, there's something so great about gw! i absolutely love dc.. there are SO many opportunities in the city, i honestly believe that you would be able to network better at gw than you could at any ivy (except georgetown, of course) [btw, i am not saying gw is an ivy haha..just to clear up any confusion]</p>
<p>gw has become my top school, i applied to two ivys as well, so far i've received admission into american and howard, but im praying that i get in gwu! i love dc, so either way im going.</p>
<p>ahhh the wait is killllling me ... i'm guessing we will know probably by the end of next week? i don't think they'll make us wait until the 31st..right!? haha :p</p>
<p>hey i just called the admissions office today and they said decisions will be posted in two weeks.</p>

<p>i emailed them earlier this week and they said that they would be up in "late march" and there was no definite date. i think there HAS to be lol ... ahhh i want to know!</p>

<p>I think they did the same thing to the EDII people and then sent them an email when decisions would be posted. You had to scroll down on your "stats" page to see it. I think thats how it was last year too, around March 26th. I bet they don't want to give out an exact date just in case something delays it. The email is the key though!</p>
<p>GWU and AU are currently tied for first place. I absolutely love DC. I will be heartbroken if I don't get into one of these schools - but at this point, I have no clear favorite, so I'll take one over the other if that's what it comes down to!</p>
<p>I know exactly how you feel! I wanted to go to either American or GWU and since I got into American im pretty happy = ) but im just waiting to hear from GWU. yes, it is my first choice school but I wouldnt mind either. (Im kind of being pressured to pick GWu from my parents) but ill be happy either or.</p>
<p>Do you think University Honors Program (UHP) scholars will know at the same time or earlier than RD? </p>
<p>My son has applied for that program and would love to be in it, but time's a wasting, and decisions are slowly but surely rolling in. He's gotten some great offers elsewhere, but he *still *loves GW the best of all of his colleges, and this wait is SOOOO suspenseful! He says he keeps checking the status check thing two/three times a day (before school, during free period at school, and before bed) in vain, staring at the "under review" status message. And "late March" is NOW (sort of...right? :))</p>

<p>GW was my first choice through this entire process, but I've somehow convinced myself that I'm getting rejected and I'm looking forward to my previously 2nd and 3rd choices more. I don't know, I guess it will come down to if I get accepted and how I like the visit.</p>

<p>premed...I was looking at last year's acceptances last night and noticed that some honors applicants heard right away but others took a long time. I think a couple even got extensions due to the delay (for their deposits). I guess I didn't notice anyone that received word with their admissions packet but you may want to do a search on this.</p>

<p>Decisions should come out by the end of next week. All applicants will receive an email notifying them, 24 hours in advance, of decisions going live on the GW Activity Center. The same day that decisions are put online, decisions will be sent out via mail."</p>

I don't understand what quite you're saying, but I think I do. After calling GW, the acceptance into UHP comes with the acceptance packet...at a TBA date.</p>
