I’m about to start my senior year in 2 weeks, and I am worrying a little bit about my schedule. I have good stats so far, 3.99UW gpa, 33 ACT, and my past schedules have been about as difficult as possible at my school. My top schools at this point are USC, CMC, and Dartmouth. So, my schedule goes:
hour (before school) - weight room I am a competitive powerlifter and by doing Zero Hour you get a study hall that doesn’t affect your class rank… so will this look like an alright use of my time?
- study hall
- human anatomy and physiology
- AP politics
- french 3 (I took spanish frosh year)
- AP english
- yearbook hour (I am a senior editor and was also promoted to the head photographer for our district)
- AP physics
- AP calc ab
So after taking AP’s of bio, chem and USH last year and the ones listed above I will complete 7/8 AP courses offered by my school, the last one being psych. When looking at the course catalog at the end of last year I could barely come up with a full day and alternate classes. I think I ended up putting down a couple of art classes for alternates because I’m not super interested in taking psych and there’s really nothing else impressive left to take at my school. Anyway, will that study hall look like a blemish in my transcript and I need to take psych or biotech (first year being offered, who knows how that would go) or am I still in good standing to apply to great schools? Thanks so much everyone!
