My weighted gpa is 4.1 and unweighted is 3.7.
How much emphasis does JHU admissions place on GPA? I'm really worried about applying cuz i only had total of 4 hp/ap's in 10th and 11th grades combined and lot of b's in 10th. Even tho my grades improved within the 2 years, I still think my chances are low. If I take 5 ap's in senior year and get a's in them, will that look good enough to adcom? My SAT is 1810 right now but I'll retake it and hopefully break 2nd millennium mark. Can someone plz chance me based on those stats?

Maybe you should ask this on the JHU forum!!!

Weighted GPA doesn’t count, colleges care more about unweighted GPA. So if your weighted GPA is not that high, don’t worry about it. But what here REALLY REALLY care for is the grades you got for each individual class. Also don’t count on your senior year grades to “boost” you a lot. They won’t see your grades if you apply ED and they will only see the first semester grade if your apply RD. However, it won’t be weighted at all like the first three years of high school. It’s a smaller contributing factor (smaller than 9th, 10th, and 11th grade individually).
