Well, to my understanding you can use the IGETC to satisfy GE Breadth requirements for ALL UC’s, so if you finished the IGETC by the end of Spring and the IGETC accepts College Algebra, I think you’ll be ok!

Thank you so much Ale and everyone, I certainly hope that is the case. Here’s to hoping :)

Let’s hope we all get into our dream universities! :)

What are you aiming for?

Anthropology at UCLA! I also applied to UCB, UCSD and UCD
My goal is to go to med school, with pharm school as a back up

Hey ale,

Out of curiosity, are you applying for a B.A. or B.S.?

B.A. for now, since I wouldn’t be able to finish all of the pre-major req’s within a year for B.S. Though I may think about switching to B.S. once I’m at a university, I’m not sure if that’s possible for transfers

Nice! Well good luck and hopefully the UC you attend lets you change if you want!

To fulfill the Breadth/General Education Requirements, you can use Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC). Only California Community Colleges have this option. Basically, if you are following the most updated version of IGETC at your college (2013-2014) and your course is on the list, you are fine because for your major, most, if not all, UCs and CSUs accept the IGETC.

For some majors in STEM field, IGETC is discouraged or not accepted. You can see the full list here: [Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum | UC Admissions](http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/requirements/additional-requirements/igetc/)

If you use IGETC, don’t bother to look at the GE/Breadth Articulation Agreement. GE/Breadth Articulation Agreement is the other way to fulfill the Breadth/General Education Requirements if you don’t follow IGETC. When you fill out myberkeleyapp, you will know.

I didn’t read the whole thread so I don’t know what you ended up deciding, but if you still need a transferable math you can take Statistics online from Foothill College. Oh and Foothill uses the quarter system, so you have plenty of time to register for the final quarter. That’s what I took for IGETC. Good luck
