Hello,
I'm a community college freshman. Right now I'm trying to decide what career would be best for me. Since I was little I've always wanted to be a doctor, however junior year of hs I had an advanced biology class and didn't like it. There were so many 6, 7 page packets (front and back) of outlines to memorize. The packets were about physiology and I found them kind of boring. So I started to look for other career options, I love languages, traveling, other cultures, and math is another forte. So I'm thinking about international business; from the semester of classes I've taken, the business field seems kinda cold and relying on who you know, and the major doesn't have much challenging classes. Also, I feel I wouldn't be helping out people as I would like, which was why I considered medicine in the first place. Am I just cheating myself in going to a totally different field? Science in general isn't my favorite subject but I like the thought of being a doctor. I don't know if it will be the wisest choice for myself.
All you pre-meds out there, how do you know that medicine is your calling?

If you don't like biology, physiology, having to memorize, then you're in for a world of hurt come med school time. There are many fields where you can help people (social work, teaching, etc.) and there are certainly a lot of challenging fields. I personally don't really see anything in your short description that would point towards medicine.
