I’m a freshmen going into my second semester of cc and I was wondering if I should drop some of these classes. Last semester I took 4 classes [12 credit hours] and ended up with a 3.75 GPA but I was stressed 24/7. The classes im planning on taking is
Honors English 1020
Women’s Studies 1510
History II 1020
Sociology 1010
Beginning American Sign Language 1010
I realize it will be a lot of writing/reading but I do better with that versus math/science type things
If you were stressed out taking four classes, I can’t see how five will help. Drop one.
Last semester I took Intro to Psychology, regular English Composition, Math, and Medical Terminology. Psych and English weren’t hard for me [those are the ones I got an A in] but I struggled with Med Term ** and Math [NP. Didn’t hurt my GPA]. I’m just wondering that since I’m not taking any science/maths I would be able to handle it? I mean im going a 2.1 GPA to 3.75 and i really wanna keep it but i also really want to take those classes. Sorry for the long reply and thank you for all your help!
You can register for all five, but be ready to drop one at the first sign of “being stressed 24/7”(probably either Women’s Studies or Sociology as they’re both social science, having only one would be ok for schedule balance.)
You have a week or two to drop classes without them showing up on the transcript right? Start going to all the classes, and then drop the one that seems the least interesting or the most difficult.
