Is this too much?

Hey y’all so next year is my senior year and I’m really trying to do challenging classes. Do you guys think this is too much?
First semester:
Dual enrollment English
Dual enrollment gov
AP Calc BC
Ap physics 1
Ap bio

Second semester:
Ap physics 2
Ap comp a
De chem
De calc
De psych
De intro to lit

Please lmk!

How could we possibly know? We don’t know you or your abilities. Certainly seems routine.

Well I’m in AP Lit, Ap latin, apush, and apes. And I think they’re pretty easy. I enjoy the science class more so I wouldn’t think it would be hard if you enjoy it.

Your counselor and HS teachers would likely be able to provide the best guidance as they have a feel for your abilities, strengths and other commitments. Be sure to save some time for fun and SR activities as well.

Why 5 classes the first semester and 6 the second semester?

Things to remember about DE:

DE is great if you are aiming at a State U as they will accept your credits. With AP credits you know if the college will take your credits. If you college doesn’t take the DE credits, you will have to start college with harder courses.
DE grades go into your college GPA.
DE professors are not like your HS teachers…they can and will fail you.

Why the need to take 2 lab sciences at once?

You seem to be missing a foreign language. Selective colleges are going to want to see 3-4 years, although you can get away with fewer in state and directional colleges.

I think this is relatively doable, but you won’t have much time. Also, you’re missing a language.

Look up what the required and recommended courses are for the most selective schools you are considering or hoping for. You should make sure you cover what they want.

Also, what is considered ( ask the GC) the most rigorous schedule forca student at your school to take? The college do ask that and you are judged in the context of your school offerings.
