Is this topic just too weird?

<p>For a shorter essay question, I was going to write about having dark circles under my eyes. I get really into painting/reading and I'll stay up all night and loose track of time so I can finish what I'm doing. In a way you could say they are testaments to my determined personality, lol....</p>

<p>Anyways my mom thinks this essay topic is just way too weird, and that adcoms will think I'm ugly/don't care about my appearance/cant manage time/will be an annoying roomate, and will reject me.</p>

<p>I kinda like the topic, but is it too weird?</p>

<p>If its approached the right way its possible. If you take the dark circles as more of a light joke then explain why you have them and what you do versus saying that you never get any sleep, etc. Be serious about the painting and reading in the end, not the circles!</p>

the only dealbreakers i know are if u write about suicide or tendencies to self-harm</p>
