I’d really suggest you write about something else. Yes, it sounds fairly risky to me. I’m also not sure how this essay would present a good portrait of yourself - it sounds like you’d be focusing too much on your objection to SCA5.
I think it would be less suicidal to write that you are in favor of child pornography
This topic could definitely rub people the wrong way. Plus, it really won’t give the reader much insight into you as a person, other than your stance on this one specific issue.
I don’t think this would be a particularly good admissions essay topic for a couple of reasons. One if it is a failed act to begin with, I don’t see the point of writing an essay centered around it. Second, protesting the same institution you are asking to admit you probably won’t do you any favors in the long run
