that you have to send high school transcripts (and SAT scores?) to med schools when you apply?

no....................

nope......

oh, really?
dang. i heard that from someone who was prelaw, and he said he sent high school transcript to the law schools he applied to.. and that it'd be probably the same for med schools. So now, is that even true for law school?

I applied to 25 med schools. One of them asked for my HS GPA and class rank, no transcript needed.

25 med schools? That's a reasonable amount isn't it? or is it too much? or too little?

I'm not planning ahead or anything but how good is Meharry Medical College?

Thanks

Meharry is devoted to helping underrepresented minorities access rural health initiatives. If that sounds like you, I'm sure it's a great school.

If you're just browsing and happened to pick the school that has the lowest MCAT score in the country, then it's not a good school for you.

Oh, and 25 is a reasonable number for an overrepresented minority from California who attends a public school. (Not me.)

For an overrepresented minority from California who attends a private school (me), you should be thinking 18-20.

Actually, you caught me searching for the school with the lowest MCAT score :(. But that's ok I intend to do well in college anyway. Thanks for your info.

I applied primary application to only 7 schools, as an overrepresented majority from a large state university...strange.

Well, for one thing not having to deal with the UC system brings a "reasonable number" down to the 13-15 range - and you might just have had better qualifications than most of us. =)
