Ok so I don't understand what is taking so long! I applied on September 16 and still have not heard one thing! If Penn State looks more at GPA, then how have I not heard given the fact that mine is a 4.0? I am getting more and more impatient/nervous about this whole thing because PSU is my top choice! I've heard that some programs take longer than others, so does anyone know about the Health & Human Development dept? (major is nutritional sciences) :/

I applied mid-October and I’ve also heard nothing…my stats aren’t stellar like yours but I still know of tons of people who have been accepted with GPAs and SATs much lower than mine. PSU is one of my top choices also, I hate this!

Amen…already talked to sop. I want a decision… 24 days left max. But that’s a LOT!

i do not think thats normal. Last year I applied at the beginning of November and heard back in a month. I know that they are till feb to give an answer but I cant believe that you are still waiting from september. Penn State is clearly not in a rush to answer because they know they will fill up the class no matter what. It is not fair to make you guys wait so long especially when you have the stats. i am completely unsure of how the decide who gets their app reviewed when. It seems like it was also random last year and this year.

It is normal. My daughter applied on September 1st, and was accepted on January 21st. There were many others on this forum who heard in January, even a few in February. They get a ton of applications. Don’t panic!

@sop520 & jwestbrook12: I hope we all get in after waiting so long! This is like torture!
