Is this worth it?

I recently found out I'm one of the two US Senate Youth Program delegates for my state. Should I e-mail Yale (to which I applied EA) about this recognition, or is it not significant enough to influence decisions at this time?

It's too late for EA. If you're deferred, you can send them an update.

Which state? I'm still waiting to hear if I made it. It's taken them forever ot make an announcement in Florida. If I had already found out I had every intention of sending something to Yale. But at this point, (from what I understand) all of the decisions have been made. It might be something you could try though. Wouldnt hurt if you faxed it over to them, but it might not make any difference.

alright thanks for responses. also, you think it'd just be better to have guidance counselor say it in recommendation or send an update to all the Common App schools I'm applying to RD?

My state is SC. I think the Hearst Foundation was supposed to have chosen the delegates early in December, but I'm not sure.

by the way, how well known/prestigious is USSYP? From what I've heard it's a blast, but in terms of college admissions, would it be a great boost to your r

I got deferred. You think sending Yale this update would help my chances in RD?
