Apperently some people believe they can travel through time like this guy http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=174884 or this guy www.johntitor.com. But are all these nut cases really making stuff up to amuse the gullible web surfers or are they telling the truth? Also would traveling throught time go against the laws of physics or something?

haha... I'm pretty sure it's not possible at the moment

A lot a Physicist (spelling?) believe it is possbible. many PHD proffessors say theyre is nothing they know of that would prevent it. Of course that doesn't mean they could actually do it

Hermoine did it, it must be possible.

/true story.

i am from the future

in 2105 you'll all be buried

it's possible right now.
we're traveling forward.
=D

definitely not possible now. but from the physics physicists have determined it's possible, so probably in the far future.

If E=mc^2 is correct then technically, if you went fast enough then you could Travel to the Future.

BUT time travel to the past would be impossible.

So yes it is Possible.

Wells made time travel possible for us. You can buy the Time Machine at Borders.

Just remember some things about time travel:

You'll be paid after you get back.

You must bring your own weapons.

Your safety is not guaranteed.

Most people have only done it once before.

As long as you're willing to take your chances, here's your man.

I don't know...but even if time travel was a possibility, there would also be this huge debate on whether or not it's ethical to change the past.

1) We are already 'travelling' through time, aren't we? Look at the clock ticking. :p

2) You can travel into the future, just need to be fast enough.

3) If travel into past was possible, I bet someone would have come back from the future and told us so :p

Well no one has come back, so it looks like we never do invent it. Or we just don't know they've come back or maybe just hey, who would want to come back to this time.

Confession:
I'm from the future. I traveled into the past to see what it would be like to live in the stoneages.
You people with your "computers", you're so far behind.

We wouldn't know if someone actually came back from the future because anyone who says that they did would be labeled as a looney toon.

Donnie Darko is one of my favorite movies... (the dvd directors cut version). It explains the whole time travel in a weird fictional and intriguing way. I believe that there's someone from the future, here, in disguise.. (and aliens)

Has any of John Titor's predictions come true yet? Any of them discredited yet?

Special relatvity effectively caps super-light speed. But who gives a crap what einstein thought.

Is this for real?

actually in my astronomy class today my prof said that you CAN travel into the future, you just can't go back (as far as what we have the ability to do right now). If you went out in a spaceship and went to another solar system (which we have the technology to do, the fuel would just be rediculous to carry along) it would be a 24 earth year long trip, but the people going would only age by 10 years... so its sort of like traveling 14 years into the future. . .

^ I don't think that quite fits the profile.
