<p>No they arent - most schools dont even care.. I dont think a single friend of mine has actually spent more than 5 minutes studying for a TOEFL exam.. If you can understand the English thats written on these message boards, you don't need to do a damn thing for TOEFL... You can't even compare the difficulty to the SATs...</p>
<p>No, it is very important to get a good score though. Like at least over 250. Colleges DO look at that. I've been in contact with a lot of admissions people, and they really find it important.</p>

<p>Yeah, but you'd be surprised at the amount of international students universities get that are way below 250. Don't assume everyone's English is as good as yours or mine.</p>
