I have chosen to go liberal arts but if I should regret this or the school what are my transfer options? Do -i have to go to another liberal arts only school or am I free to choose.

No. You can transfer from a LAC to a regular university.

while it's technically "possible". I've personally found that transferring from a LAC to a University can prove particularly challenging if you want to graduate on time due to the fact that Universities have a lot coursework requirements and LAC's don't, so you enter behind

interesting, so if I want to keep my options open I may have to chose some certain courses from the beginning, to match other schools or so?
Btw. I am from Europe so I know very little about the US school systems

I was accepted at Boston College from a liberal arts college, but will not be attending.

How come? But it is possible?

Do big schools all have liberal arts programs and are any of them famous?

I'm going to Wesleyan instead. Plus, BC has a HUGE general education requirement, which I didn't like.

Definitely you can move from a LAC to a University.

I don't know what tahitiKO is referring to about not being able to graduate on time due to "more" reqs at a U than a LAC.

What you should do: know the typical curriculum at a University and for a major that you might choose. Fashion your first year's LAC course schedule to mimic that as much as possible.

Yes, big U's almost all have liberal arts colleges and majors (some exceptions might be the tech institutes (MIT etc).

No idea what you mean by "famous."

I mean are any of the liberal arts programs reknowned? Like the one at UT should be pretty elite, compared to that of the rest of the university.

UT has some pretty solid, Top 25 departments in their College of Liberal Arts. Ones that immediately come to mind are Psychology, Sociology, History, Economics and English
