Im gonna take econ 51d, and I was wondering if its a hassle to get to the Trent building from East campus. Should I just look for the same calss ina different building? Or is it fine?

It's a hassle, because the C-2 bus that runs to East, Trent, and West is on a less frequent schedule than the C-1 bus that runs only to East and West, so you can't just take the first bus that gets to the stop. If its a choice between equal classes, go for the one that's not in Trent.

Its like a ten minute walk from Bostock if you want

if you're going to be coming from east, it's a longer bus ride -- trent is central but closer to west. if you're on west, then it's a short ride (every 15 mins) or a decent walk... i'd walk it last semester.

Yea, Trent is known kinda as the purgatory of class buildings. They only put not very fun things (i.e. recitations) and some very random classes in it. It's about a 15 min walk from Main west through the gardens. On the upside, Grace's (what passes for a) Chinese Restaurant is in it and you can use your DukeCard.

I've got a language class in Trent two days a week, then the other two days a week it meets in SocSci. And yes, from West you can walk to it through the Gardens, which is nice.

I just hate thinking about the fact that Trent, before being used for obscure classes, storage, and ROTC, was a freshman dorm.

Yea, it's tragic that people had to actually live there. I heard they got free cable though, as a consolation prize for having to live in that earthly hell.

the sororities have storage facilities in trent, and the rooms are so small. i couldn't imagine living there (apparently one girl who went to my HS did though-- she graduated way before me, but i knew her younger brother, so i should find out about how she lived there!). but yeah, grace's in trent is good about having class there. not that i eat grace's food, but they have, in my opinion, the best fresh fruit section on campus, so i'd always have a snack of some sort there during class.
