Is trying to land a job in investment banking worth it if you are not in the Investment Banking Workshop? How hard is it to get in? Considering you meet all of the requirements.

Also, if trying to get into investment banking doesn't work out, how is trying to find a job trading somewhere else? I found a group called the Undergraduate Investment Club. Does this group offer connections of any sort?

In addition to the Investment Banking Workshop, there is also the Investment Banking Seminar, which is a totally different program that also places students in IB.

Click on class of 2013 tab to see resumes and who hired them. This is another thirty or so IB candidates besides IBW each year at Kelley.

The IBW and the subsequent Management workshop and the Seminar are for those extremely motivated for getting into IB. I’m attempting to get into the IBW and they normally take around 40.

But as Hezmoney said, 2 people got into it without doing these programs. The programs will take you if your are serious about IB and have a good chance for getting hired.

Kelley is ranked top 10 in finance and Accounting. Kelley is also among the cheapest b-school in high rankings.

If you don’t go IB, there are many other jobs that the Finance majors do out of kelley.

Does the investment management workshop place as well as the banking one? Heard plenty about the investment banking workshop, but not much about the management one.
