Is Tufts free?

For those with an income under $40,000?

Like Harvard?

Google is a very nice resource...

According to their website.

"Tufts meets the full demonstrated need of all admitted aid candidates. Combinations of university, local, state, federal and other aid funds may result in awards between $2,500 and full cost, according to need."

-Meets the Full demonstrated need.

Yes it is. It was for me at least. Also, Harvard does it for under $60,000 if that makes any difference to you. BUT I will say, Harvard used to be my dream school and I'm sooooo glad that I picked Tufts.

On the financial aid website, it states that a financial aid package (paraphrase) includes LOANS, grants and scholarships.
I think loans need to be paid back.
If that's not the case, then EDI, here I come!!

There are no loans for students with family with an income below $40,000 a year.

No loans.

:)

DanAdmiss@Tufts, do you know if there are loans for students with family income between $55,000 and $60,000 (with virtually no assets)?

Dan, you just made me a very very happy boy.

Actually it is NOT true that Tufts guarentees free tuition for those making under $40k a year. I still have to pay loans even though my parents make only $30k, which I was very frustrated about after being told the 40k thing. There are lots of considerations Financial Aid considers, so don't get fooled. Also my financial aid package has decreased by half every year, despite my parent's income staying the same, so be aware.
