Is tuition a 1-Time Payment

Hey, I have a really stupid quetion :( So, I was looking at Cornell's Site, and it said that it would cost approx. $54,000. So is that 54k per yr? Or is it a 1 time payment, I suspect that its 54k per year giving a total of about $216,000 for an education at Cornell. Can anyone please tell me which way it is? Thanks in Advance!!!

The cost of attendance listed on the site is for one year.

you pay per semester or per year, not all at once. that’d be super scary :(

Cornell also has monthly payment plan, no interest, but with $150(I think) set up fee.

If you’re willing to pay $216k up front, I’m sure Uncle Ezra would be happy to invite you to the family. Otherwise, no. That’s not how college works.

there are many payment plans available so you dont have to pay 54k at one time each year. i know there is a 10 month plan, but im not sure about the others

OK, thanks people  You answered my question better than I expected :)

also the 54k includes room and board and some other things which are paid separately though around the same time as tuition so its not one lump bill for 54k.

You can also split it up across the year. Well, I don’t know about Cornell, but my sister goes to Syracuse and we do a monthly payment system. But since Cornell has a really solid Fin. Aid system, I’m sure payment plans are easy to establish.
