Is Tulane's Med School worth it?

I've been speaking to a lot of pre-med students at Tulane, and most of the ones I have spoken to say that Tulane's medical school is not worth it, and that they would rather pay the 60K+ at another med school.
A lot also bring up that LSU's med school is just as good/better than Tulane's (and cheaper).
Also, my doctors all went to Tulane as undergraduates then went to LSU for their MD.
The undergrads at Tulane have such a negative attitude toward Tulane's Med School.
I was considering the TAP-TP/Creative Pre-med Scholars Program.
(Yes, I do know that you have to be a non-science major for the latter).

Can someone provide me with some info? Opinions? Experience?

definitely not worth it, IMO. you’d have to be crazy to commit yourself to that much debt at this point in your life. honestly, if you are smart/accomplished/distinguised enough to get into the program, you have a pretty good shot at med school. programs like this exist so that mid-tier med schools can snag star students early on.

also, i am friends with several people in the program and i should add that many people have been VERY unhappy with their year of community service placements. for example, one guy is literally doing manual farm work for a whole year.

I’m also considering location. I don’t know if I want to spend another 4 years in NOLA.

Friend’s D, who will be attending a top 5 med school this year, applied and was turned down by Tulane. She was very disappointed, it was her first choice med school.

If you qualify for the TAP-TP program the cost will be less than the Creative Scholars. You will save money on last two years of undergrad and you get paid for your service year. You also carryover any scholarship to your first year of med school.
If you have a good shot at a state med school you should go for it-that will be overall much cheaper, but with med school you go where you are accepted.
Ranking has much less meaning for med schools unless you plan on academic medicine or research.
