Is UC Davis good for civil engineering?

Hi, everyone. I am currently attending a california community college and I plan to transfer to a UC as a civil engineering major. My current goal is to get into Berkeley or UCLA, but if not there, then UC Davis because it's the fourth best UC and UCSD doesn't really have much of a civil engineering program. I wanted to know if Davis has a respected civil engineering program, and if getting a job after graduating from there won't be too dificult. Do you think UCI would be better? Please give as much feedback as possible.

Here is the ranking for civil engineering:

 1. UIUC
 2. Berkeley
 3. Texas
 4. Georgia Tech
 5. MIT
 6. Purdue
 7. Stanford
 8. Michigan
 9. Cornell, Texas A&M
 10. Virginia Tech
 11. Penn State

I would said UC Davis is a pretty good school for Engineering and any science major who intend to go to grad school in the future. A couple frds of mine who apply UC Berkeley also apply to UC Davis as a back up school. However, i suggest u to visit a campus before making ur choice. I personally love UC Davis due to the environment, it is a quiet town where let u focux on ur school work. If you a college party person, then i will suggest u to look somewhere else… Over all, UCD is a good school and it was my bak up school when i applied in 2010 before i got accepted to UCLA.

UCSD has a Structural Engineering program which is actually pretty good. Its not as broad as civil engineering but it does have the option of taking classes and projects that are pretty interesting and fun such as earthquake engineering, aerospace structures, steel bridge comp, and the steel canoe comp.

Not to mention the Jacob’s School of Engineering (UCSD) is currently higher ranked than the Henry Samueli School of Engineering at UCLA (according to U.S.News) - not by much but it is…

UCI has also a very good civil engineering program. I have a few friends who are civil engineer majors there (4th years) and they love it. But any civil engineering degree from any UC will pretty much land you a good career where ever…
