Is UC Irvine's Campuswide Honors Program worth it? (How valuable is priority enrollment?)

I am currently a high school senior that has been accepted to UCSD, UCD, UCI, & UCSB for Biochemistry. I really want to attend UCSB or UCSD but i got in as a normal undergrad while at UCI I received admission to CHP. Are the benefits of CHP really worth more than an attending a school like UCSB or UCSD? The only upside of CHP that speaks to me is the priority enrollment in classes, but is that really worth it? My plans after undergrad is to go to medical school and become a docotr of some sorts (I do not know exactly yet). thank you for input, I am in quite a crossroads right now! all opinions and advice are appreciated (-:

To put is simply, priority enrollment is GOLD. You control your schedule with the most flexibility, take the best teachers, and attain HIGH GPA. Students with 120+ completed units can’t enroll in classes, because they fill up prior to their enrollment window. CHP doesn’t have that problem. Many accepted CHP, start at CHP, get the priority for a couple of years, then drop the CHP and use AP credit for certain classes they would not be able to do under CHP and free more time for research or for studying and graduate with latin honors. Search the UCI Reddit, plenty of strategies there.

Did anyone go to the CHP program today on campus? It sounded like the priority registration was for your college only and doesn’t apply to classes taken in another college (ex. you don’t get priority registration for bio sci classes if you are in the college of social sciences). Can anyone confirm whether or not that is a true statement?

You can sign up to any class that is not major restricted when your enrollment window opens. Here is a link to the order for the enrollment window https://www.reg.uci.edu/enrollment/windows.html So any class that is not restricted you can enroll in prior to everyone else. That is priceless.
