Is UCF a bad school?

I live in FL and go to a nationally ranked top 10 HS.

I've always really enjoyed learned and discussion, but I've been thinking that I may just end up at UCF.

I have always seen myself going out of state for sure, maybe even following in my sisters footsteps at SMU, but I almost feel as if I could have just as good of an experience for basically free in comparison to a private. (parents can afford OOS, I'm confused)

I mean, I'm not really thinking I'll get into anywhere great. Probably ultimately deciding between like University of Colorado-Boulder and College of Charleston in the end.

I'm so freaking confused please help me out. (Psych, Philosophy and film are the subjects that interest me)

UCF is not a bad school. It is definitely not a GREAT school, but it’s decent. It’s one of those “up-and-coming” schools that is going to get better in probably just a few years. However, if your parents can afford OOS, then try to get into the best college that you can; and if you like it better than UCF, go there.
But if you don’t want to pay OOS tuition, then aim for UF. But if you don’t get in there, FSU or UCF is fine :)

UCF IS a bad school. The professors SUCK!! Want a taste of UCF education? Just buy one of their textbooks and read on your own.
