does anyone know how many UCLA students go to HLS, YLS, or columbia law school each year and their average GPA?

perhaps this could've been incorporated into either of the other posts you just made relating to this?

allie,

It's fine, it's separate enough to warrant a thread...or I think so at least.

zheng,

UCLA does well getting its students into HLS, in most years at least as well as Cal. Look here.

Don't worry man, you're not handicapped by your undergrad.

Does it look good for law school period I have a low gpa 3.4 but im hoping my lsat score and the ucla name get me in to any law school/college in new york??? anyone know how recognized ucla is on the east coast???

you can get into any law schoool in new york, considering there are tier 4 and tier 3 schools there as well as tier 1 and 2. IF you meant will the UCLA name get you into Columbia, brooklyn, NYU.... then oviously it will help but never gurantee you a spot in any of these schools as your competing with other students with excellent grades and scores from excellent schools.

UCLA is well recognized all over america.

mexbruin,

Just do well on the LSAT. That's the key.
