Hi,
I am trying to decide where to go to college and want to be on the Pre Med track. I have been accepted to the University of Connecticut and wanted to know if anyone had any information on how good the pre-med program is at UConn. Any help will do. Please let me know if you have any information or thoughts on how the UConn pre-med program is and if it is a strong place to go for a good foundation. Let me know. Thanks.
@celtics2008 In my opinion I believe you will get a great premed foundation at Uconn. They actually have a fast track program for high school students who know they want to be doctors called the Special Program in Medicine with direct admit to Uconn Medical School. That is one of the positive factors that they actually have a medical school. They are also a top research university which will provide you with opportunities to conduct research to enhance your med school application. Check out the office of undergraduate research for grants and opportunities. Also check put the learning communities for science specific ones.
Ok thanks, that is really helpful!
The SPIM is excellent but so is their pre med track. The advisors are very helpful to make sure you are doing what you are supposed to be doing
