lol on your hooks. Hooks are things that might make you more appealing to a school than your record might suggest-usually thought of as being a recruit-level athlete, legacy, under represented minority, from a state that tends to be unrepresented at that college-something that may appeal to the school about you but that is not usually do to your academic achievements-although sometimes very rare achievements are thought of that way. But something that makes a school want you above what your overall record of achievement would get you.
They may not be “hooks” but they are interesting ECs, something UF does consider in it’s holistic admissions. You may want to consider applying for Summer B, it should improve your chances a bit.
Your GPA is a bit low, using UF’s method for calculating weighted GPA, it’s likely around a 3.8 to 4.0 (see below), so it will be a high match/low reach. Treat it as a reach, make sure you apply to some other matches and safeties, and you should be fine. Last I looked UF"s app was only $30 (plus any cost for sending test scores).
You should recalculate your GPA. Having a weighted GPA more than 1 full point above your unweighted GPA is not possible the way that UF calculates GPA. For each regular class you take, an A is 4, B is 3, and so on. For each honors class, A is 4.5, B is 3.5, and so on. For each AP/DE class, A is 5, B is 4, etc.
If your UF GPA is a 4.0 I can say UF is more of a match for you. You should really try and finish out junior year strong. Your sat score is definitely in range.
Your headed in the right direction so keep it up. Hopefully your UWgpa can increase a bit before applying. Also, I don’t know if putting that you are a vegetarian on your application will be a hook XD or even matter at all.
