<p>Chances!</p>

<p>Our guidance Counselor came into our english class today, and she pretty much scared me... I thought UF was a safety for me... now I'm not so sure... if it's not, should I apply to another florida public university??</p>

<p>no.. it's not a safety because of your SAT scores. i know people who got rejected with higher scores and similar ECs. try taking the ACT.</p>

SAT - Math Range (25-75%): 590-690</p>

<p>That means the middle 50% is 1160-1360</p>

<p>You will be fine.</p>

<p>blah... the lady that came to our school said their holistic approach was
60% Grades
30% Personal/EC and
10% SAT/ACT</p>

<p>but still, i retook the SAT on saturday, and i should've gone up... so we'll see....</p>

<p>The average GPA for Florida admitees is 4.0 W. You are at 4.43. The other poster got the SAT numbers correct--you are at 1290, and the average is 1240. Your ECs are above average. This makes you a safe match to match at Florida as long as you don't completely screw up your essay and get bad recommendations--both of which are unlikely, so relax.</p>
