Is UF Computer Science good?

I’m a junior in high school, I would like to major in Computer science. I am currently looking for good computer science schools, preferably in the state of Florida. Is UF computer science a good program? Is it accredited? Is it worth it go there? Please help me, Im a little clueless. Any tips for someone who wants to major in CS? Thanks!

Yes, it’s good and it’s accredited. It has a few “flavors”…

Degree Programs:

Computer Engineering (CEN), accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, [ABET -](http://www.abet.org).

Computer Science - College of Engineering (CSE)

Computer Science - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CSC)

Digital Arts and Sciences (DAS)

[CISE :: Academics : Undergraduate Students](Undergraduate - Computer & Information Science & Engineering)

Use the above link to read an overview of each major. Most UF students would go into the Computer Engineering program, which is a mixture of hardware and software (think Intel, NVIDIA, etc).

Most of the other public universities in Florida have a CISE program, though only a few have Computer Engineering.

Good Luck!
