Is UF now superscoring the ACT?

I was on the UF admissions website today looking for something else entirely and I came upon this line from this page about planning and your 12th grade year: https://admissions.ufl.edu/apply/plan

“Arrange to have your SAT and/or ACT test scores sent to UF by December 15. We will only consider your highest score, and will superscore either test (combine your highest subsection scores).”

It says “will superscore either test.” Is this new or a typo? Thoughts on this @Gator88NE and @Melissa96

Here’s more from the UF Admissions website. Appears that ACT will now be superscored:
“UF Admissions does not have a preference for one exam over the other. We encourage you to take whichever exam suits you best. While UF will not mix scores from old and new versions of the SAT, we will consider the highest “subscores” from the same version of the SAT if you take the test multiple times. We will consider the highest “subscores” of the ACT if you take the test multiple times. If you choose to take both exams, we will consider whichever composite score is most competitive for admission.”

That’s interesting. I hope for those kids that take these test, multiple times, it will now be a bit less frustrating, since you can focus your 2nd attempt on one or two areas…

Yes, starting this year, we are superscoring the ACT
