Is UGA the right school for me?

I'm from southern California, but I'm really trying to go out of state and experience a different way of life than the one I currently have here.
Is the campus nice? Are the people friendly? How is the overall college experience?
Also, where I live is a pretty liberal area, will I experience too big of a big culture shock?
Is there anything to do in Georgia when people aren't in school? Any other input is greatly appreciated!

One more thing, what are my chances of getting in if I have a 3.73 GPA uw and a 3.93 weighted GPA, a nationally recognized High School, 28 on the ACT, 4 on APUSH AP exam, 4 on AP environmental and 4 on AP spanish
I speak 3 languages fluently: English, Spanish and Portuguese. I'm teaching myself French and Italian, but I am not currently fluent. (It's getting there!)
I'm first generation college student, first generation american student, from a single income household, moved from Brazil to the United States when I was 13, barely spoke any english.
Yearbook photographer, upcoming captain of Pole Vault team, job experience, volunteer. I can't think of anything else right now, but please let me know! Thank you so much.

The campus is beautiful, the people are super-friendly, the overall college experience is what a lot of young people find ideal, and your stats are about right for admission. But bear in mind that the total cost of attendance for 2013-14 for out-of-state students is $40,000. Your stats wouldn’t put you in line for UGA scholarships, and if you calculate your FAFSA estimated family contribution you’ll likely be shocked at how large a sum FAFSA suggests should be your responsibility.

We’re from So Cal and my daughter was accepted for 2013 but, in the end, we determined the OOS tuition was too expensive since she received scholarships from all her other schools. You need a very high ACT score to get any type of scholarship at UGA. It’s a great school, though - - read my review of our visit in the Campus Vibe section.
