Is UM Graded on a Bell-Curve?

Is UM Graded on a Bell-Curve? Meaning that is it usually 20% get A's, 40-50% get Bs and Cs, and the other 10% fail on exams? How hard is it to get an A?

You better hope it isn't as by nature a Bell Curve is a normal distribution sample that has equal proportions evenly spread out across the bell. Not 20 high 40-50 middle then only 10% on the low side. That would be a very weird bell curve and you'd probably fail on definition alone, LOL.

Seriously, every class is probably different and I would imagine its up to the professor.

My S's chemistry and calculus classes were on a curve. All others were straight grades. I think this is a pretty common scenerio, science and math-yes, humanities-no.
