Is UMichigan using th same calander as the rest of the world?

Still no decision received. Is Mid-April over yet?
If you have similar situation, you may want to file a lawsuit against UMichigan, at least to request the application fee back.

Universities are not obligated to respond to applicants. Legal action is not an option.

^ ok, probably part of reason why it is in a situation like now. But Alex, how many were deferrred and how many were waitlisted this year? Do you think the numbers are typical, or making any sense?

Michigan’s approach to admissions is broken. It was not able to handle 30,000 in 2009-2010, let alone 39,000 this year. We have discussed this issue on this forum several times. Michigan must do away with its policy of deferring so many EA applicants and with its rolling admissions for regular decision applicants. It also needs to more its deadline forward from February 1 to January 15.

Oh well, all we can do is wait and see.
