is university of bridgeport a good school?

my major is computer science. i just wanted to know how its like, what kind of people go to this college, how the education is, are they many opportunities offered (like internships) etc.

please answer the same questions for university of hartford and university of new haven
THANK YOU!! :))

It is or was controlled by the Unification Church. Google them and see if you are comfortable with that.

what is controlled by Unification Church

University of Bridgeport

When the University of Bridgeport was acquired by the Unification Church its law school revolted and moved to Quinnipiac University.

The current university president is a former president of the Unification Church of the United States.

ohhh okay

do you guys know anything about the other schools

Honestly they really arent ranked that great and dont have the best reputation but college is what you make of it. If you choose to go to one of these schools and push yourself and do a lot of internships you have just a good of a chance as anyone after graduation

If you are looking at those schools you might as well throw in Southern Connecticut State U…

i’m not really looking into these schools i just wanted more safety schools @boolaHI

Gotcha…

If you need another safety, in that area, with computer science-- check out Sacred Hearts, just as good, or better than some of the schools listed.

isn’t sacred hearts a liberal college though? @boolaHI

Not sure, but I do know it’s a Catholic University, and typically they are not considered liberal relative to other colleges…

oh yeah i am not interested in a Catholic University but thanks anyways.

U of Hartford has a 2 year school that gets many of it’s students from the cast of jersey shore!(no not literally)…that is where hartford gets it’s rep as a hard party school and a place for not so serious students.

it also has some really very good traditional 4 year programs like in science, engineering, the hartt school of music etc…

it is a school that is pulled in many directions and i feel that they would be better off getting rid on the 2 year program.

Really? i actually heard the opposite. A former student at U of Hartford said it wasn’t a party school at all and even there was a party it ended very early. but i did hear that it was a place for not so serious students.

Didn’t you do some dual enrollment credits at University of Hartford Calc 1 & 2, etc.)? One would think you would have some perspective on the school, unless you did those 3 courses online. They seem to have a very high acceptance rate and high COA ($51K). This school appears to be a school of last resort/low quality output.
