<p>I'm going with Computer Science as a major and I'm not sure about the minor yet. But I heard you learn a lot of skills from UROP and you get paid? Does it make you look more impressive? Can someone give me more info?</p>
<p>I don’t think you will get paid unless you use it for work study. It will also depend on the project and professor for what and how much you may learn. What you will get is some research experience and a relationship with a professor. Both may be helpful for your career down the road. For instance, when you need a letter of recommendation for something.</p>
<p>UROP is a pretty good program. you can choose to be paid or take it as a 2-4 credit class depending on the hours you want to commit. you need workstudy to get paid for it though. The research looks good on a resume and you get to work hands on. Im going into medicine and will be doing medical or science research through urop so i would find it beneficial </p>
