Is using direct hits helpful for SAT

I just wanted to ask u people whether the two volumes of Direct Hits are helpful in SAT or not. Everyone who went for the recent January and December test give me ur thoughts whether the book is helpful or not. Thanks for helping. I don't want to start memorizing the words then find out that they aren't helpful.

Appreciate it.

Please I know u open to see what’s written then leave. Please respond. Need ur respond drastically.

My son took the November SAT and told me he remembered seeing some of the words from the DH books on the test. To him, they were helpful…

dh are very helpful ,you will encounter many of the words in practice tests

Believe, they are very helpful, i took january(26) SAT and encountered many words from Direct HIts volume 1,2…

I found Direct Hits pretty helpful since it was (more) interesting to read and contained words that I actually saw on the SAT test.

@mastersat

Approximately how many words did u encounter in the January exam. Thx

I remember the words mollify, dearth, condemnation, assuage, indefatigable, and gregarious on the Jan SAT from DH.

Good luck ! DH books are great.

Yes , it helped an international student like me get most of the SC right totally worth the time

Yes, it is.

I count after each test based on the words that test takers post in the CR threads here. I look at both right and wrong answers as ‘hits,’ because knowing the definition of a wrong answer helps you eliminate it. January had about 17 words, December had about 9, and November had about 11. There are free resources with a similar number of repeat offenders that have more hits, though.

@PSVICKI, so you think it is very helpful to memorize from direct hits right
