I know that Regular UT Austin Admissions is rolling, but is the honors program rolling too?

can someone tell me what rolling admissions actually mean?

Which program?

It means there is not a specific acceptance date. They make offers as applications “roll” in.

Plan II Honors is rolling for sure, not sure about other honors.

UT Austin admissions is rolling? Does this mean for Cockrell SOE also? I thought that admissions decisions were out at around April of next year for the Fall. I will get my app in a lot sooner if this is the case.

^^^^deadline for all applications is tomorrow. Sooner would be good.

Regular is rolling just for In State top 8% I thought, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong
I think the separate schools are also rolling along a similar way - top 1-2%. I’m not sure about Honors though…

I applied to the college of natural sciences honors program, which is due nov 5.

Did you apply to both Dean’s Scholars and Medical? Or just one of them? On the boards last year some DS acceptances started rolling in right before Christmas, but I believe those were for kids that had theirs in by Nov 1. I don’t remember when the medical ones started coming in. But they are rolling.

I have this information after talking to the P2 Admissions Director:

Plan II and Liberal Arts Honors are both “rolling” in that they review your application sometime after you submit it. They they decide if they will make your admissions decision right then or wait until they can compare to the majority of their applicants. For example, I submitted my LAH application November 17th and got an acceptance letter from LAH December 10th. However, they may wait until late January or February if they want to compare your application to other applications.
