Is UT my only option now? Help greatly appreciated

Hey everyone. Recently my greatest college ambition has been to get into Rice. Unfortunately I'm applying Interim for reasons too complicated to bore you all with. I plan on majoring in electrical engineering. I'm also applying to UT, Cornell and Duke as well though I would prefer Rice over any of these three. But after getting my SAT II scores back today...i'm beginning to think I don't have a chance at all at Rice anymore. How does it look for me? I'm an asian male a texan public school by the way.

Yeah sorry for typing up what is essentially my entire resume lol. I guess the biggest worry is that my miserable SAT 2 Physics (which I signed up for the day of - long story) is a horrible black mark against me as a prospective engineer. Retaking is out of the question...I'm doing interim decision and according to the deadlines list they sent me November is the last acceptable test date.

Do you guys think that UT is basically my only option now? Or is there something I could do to compensate. Thanks in advance

bump please?

The SAT II physics is your only major blip (well, a 720 on IIC for an engineer isn't too hot either, but not terrible). The rest of your stats suggest that you're qualified, so I'd say it's worth a shot applying if you really want to go there. The acceptance rate at a school you don't apply to is 0%.

I know a lad who got into MIT with a gpa of 3.1

I also know a lass who got into Harvard with a 1390 SAT.

And another lass who got into WUSTL with a third decile class rank.

If you think one test is going to kill your app... then you're really misinformed.
