Is UW hard to get into out of state?

My friend says you have to be pretty smart to get into UW.

I have 1390 SAT (retaking for a better verbal), 3.5UW with plenty of AP and IB classes. I'm about to take the SAT IIs in Dec and hoping to do good there.
I have adequate ECs, its nothing impressive but I do my clubs.

I dont think UW looks at SAT2s...but i'm not positive about that.....

SAT IIs aren't required for UW.

You have a 90% chance of being accepted.
Go to <a href="http://www.washington.edu%5B/url%5D">www.washington.edu</a>
Go to admissions
Go to freshman
somewhere on the web site is a graph telling you your chances

Can you post the link? I can’t seem to find it.

lol. That link is pretty dated. If you want to know your chances go to Cappex(dot)com. They show you a graph of people admitted and rejected and where you are on that graph. Pretty useful.

You better do a lot better on your SAT if you plan on getting in (if your score is counting all 3 portions)

You don’t need the SAT IIs for UW. With AP and especially IB you have as good a chance as anyone getting in. Do SAT prep and work hard on your essays.

Lol at the posters. This thread is from 2004. There’s a big chance OP already got in and graduated from UW already lmao.
