Is visiting really important for Mac?

Hey, I live in Seattle, and through hearing about Macalester from family friends, my counselour and the literature, it sounds like a great place for me. However, I have been unable to visit, due to the financial cost. If I am admitted, I plan to visit to see if it's still a great fit, but I'm worried they will think I'm not very interested since I haven't visited. All my familiy is in Wisconsin so I am already a little familiar with the Midwest, and how it's a lot colder than Seattle, but I of course haven't visited campus. Will this affect my chances of admission?
Thanks.

I don't think it will hurt your chances. Mac is very sensitive to financial stuff, and not being able to afford the visit is a common problem (at any school). I wouldn't worry about it...g'luck :)
