I've seen VTech food as being rated on surveys and the like around the top 50 colleges for good food in the country. Is it really all that great? Has anyone been there, or gone to college there that can comment?

I've been to the VT campus many many times (back when it was my #1 choice), but I've only eaten there once, and at a very bad time too. It was last summer, and the main dining hall, Dietz, was closed for renovation, so one of the smaller dining halls was open. The food offerings certainly had variety, but overall I wasn't that impressed with the actual food itself. But then I may have also been biased, because I had eaten in UVa's dining hall the day before, and I really liked that food.

The only way you'll know for sure about the food is to try it out on a campus visit.

well if you're going there, it doesn't really matter how good it is because you'll be eating it for 4 years.

if you're looking, you should always try to eat on campus, if the food is important to you.

JMU food is high quality.

Yes the food there is increadible, particularly at West End, they've recently remodeled their main dining hall (which isn't called Dietz) which is an all you can eat style. West End is not all you can eat but it is much better.

My fault, don't know where I came up with Dietz when I really was thinking of Deet's Place. The main facility is called Dietrick.
